Engineer, radio technician

The Faculty of Physics is a large international team of talented researchers, teachers, engineers, administrative employees, and students. We work in advanced research areas, monitor scientific trends, and build collaborations at the global level.

We are actively growing, expanding, and launching new ambitious projects, so we have many interesting vacancies. We are inviting a radio engineer to join our team (a degree in radiophysics is also welcome).

The position of a development engineer involves designing HF devices: elements of the reception/transmission paths of RF devices, HF amplifiers, low-noise preamplifiers, and antenna elements.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and organizing works on a project related to the development of an MRI system:
    • development of RF reception/transmission path units;
    • development of near-field antennas;
    • design and preparation of files for the production of printed circuit boards;
    • fabrication of prototypes of RF reception/transmission path blocks;
    • design and prototyping of RF antenna elements;
    • testing and debugging of developed prototypes.

Requirements

  • a PhD degree in physics and mathematics or in engineering (or a Russian degree: Candidate of Sciences); if you have an engineering degree in radio engineering/radiophysics and relevant work experience, then you are also welcome;
  • experience in design and prototyping of HF/microwave devices, printed circuit board layouts;
  • experience in measuring the parameters of multi-port networks, working with a spectrum analyzer and other RF measurement equipment;
  • software experience: AWR Microwave Office, ADS Keysight, Altium Designer, DipTrace, CST Studio, Matlab, Python;
  • patents;
  • experience/knowledge in the field of NMR is preferred;
  • experience with digital circuitry is preferred;
