‘On coupled physics inverse problems and deep quantitative imaging’

In this talk, the new field of applied mathematics, coupled physics inverse problems, is briefly outlined. These problems concern the coupling of a high contrast imaging modality with a high space resolution modality. On the example of a coupled physics inverse conductivity problem it is shown how to implement high resolution - high contrast conductivity imaging by combining magnetic resonance imaging with electrical impedance tomography. The deep convolutional neural networks are considered as a powerful framework for post-processing in quantitative imaging. It is aimed at sharp and reliable reconstructions.
